Let’s stay connected.

Hi everyone, old and new readers, welcome to my blog, which is about Coaching and NLP.

During the health crisis  we are facing right now I have decided to change the format and the content a little of my blog and as such there will be more personal opinions from me and the techniques that I write about will be focused on how we can maintain our state during this crisis.

As many of you know I live in Spain, on an Island in the Mediterranean Sea and we do not have as many people ill here as they do on mainland Spain, though we still have some and we are on as strict a lock down as everyone else in Spain are, and many more people all over the world.

I tell you this because I can see that my readers are increasing in numbers of both genders and you are from all over the world. I also have an increased number of people contacting me for Coaching via Skype, also from around the world and I honestly think that with my platform and the tools I have available to me, I have a responsibility to do as much good as I possibly can.

As this virus travels around the world and shows us just how connected we all are, I say to you let’s stay connected, let’s use the technology that we have to stay connected. Let’s not call it social distancing, let’s call it temporally physical distancing.

Let’s stay connected.

So how do we stay calm as the days get longer and we have no more shelves to dust or cupboards to clean out. When being in our own company is no longer enough and the worries about the future fill our heads?

Well, first of all let’s all be responsible and not circulate what could be fake news.

For some reason there are people out there who create fake news and there are also people who speculate about the future and create fatalistic futuristic scenarios meant to scare you.

When you are scared and stressed your immune system is affected and you need that to be at its best right now.

Remember that your mind is yours and you can create the pictures, sounds and feelings that are the most useful for you to keep your state during these challenging times.

Use your mind to go back to your best memories, time travel like the super hero you are to a time when you were the most happy and enhance the image, make the colours brighter,  make the image bigger and make it more focused and then make it even brighter, bigger and focused until you have reached the limit of big bright and beautiful.

And then focus on the sound, is there a sound? If not, would you put a sound to it? And if there is a sound how could you change the sound to make it better for you? Could you change the volume, the rhythm or the speed?

And what are you feeling as you travel in time to one of your most treasured memories, which sensations do you have in your body. Is it located in specific body parts, or is it all over, does it have a shape, a colour, or a texture. Would you want to keep it as it is or make any changes to it?

Now notice how these changes make you feel and stay here while you take a deep breath and exhale as many times as is useful to you.

Know that this is yours and you can time travel to this memory whenever you can use a break from where we are right now.

I hope this was useful for you and remember being kind is free.

All my best wishes for you and your loved ones.

Ivalo
